I love Dermalogica's ultra calming products. Great for sensitive and sensitized skin. So I found this demo of an ultra calming facial and decided to share. Enjoy!

Review: Smashbox Try It Kit
Ok so I bought the Smashbox Try It Kit some time ago at Ulta on a mini shopping spree. I had been interested in Smashbox products for some time because I had heard a lot about them and thought the try it kit was the perfect way to get a taste of some of their most popular products. The kit comes with the photo finish foundation primer, photo finish lid primer, limitless eye liner (in onyx), hyperlash mascara (in blackout) and lip enhancing gloss (in illume). Now all of these products are small hence try it kit but you do get enough to really get an idea about the products.
Photo finish foundation primer: For those of you familiar with Dermalogica products this primer will remind you of barrier repair. I compared the ingredients for both of these products and they are very similar but I would say that the photo finish primer is a little more comedogenic. It's a really smooth silicone gel like substance it just glides on the skin and does not leave it oily and you only need a little bit. My foundation looked great all day. I'm defiantly going to add this product to my fave list.
Photo finish lid primer: No. Just no. I had high hopes for this primer but I was unfortunately let down. I tried it both with and without a eyeshadow crayon base and my shadows still creased. I used this product several time and always the same result CREASING SHADOWS. :(
Limitless eye liner- I'm always on the hunt for great eye liners that don't smear through out the day and this one is it! If I put this eye liner on at 8:00 am it is still there when I go to take it off at night. Perfect.
Hyperlash mascara- Ehh it's mascara, not much to say after that. I do like the wand though.
Lip enhancing gloss- I was a little put off by the "lip enhancing" because I already have all the lips I need, but once I put this lip gloss on I loved it. I don't know if the lip enhancing means that it is supposed to be lip plumping or just make the lips look better. Either way I loved it, it smells great (like cupcakes yum!) The color is almost clear so you can put it over lipstick to give it a shine or put it on by itself and go right out the door.
I enjoyed this try it kit and think it would be great if a lot more companies did something like it to allow the customer to get introduced to some of their most popular or newer products. I'm defiantly going to be purchasing the photo finish primer, eye liner and the lip gloss in full sizes.

STOP RIGHT THERE, it's the primer police
As you may or may not know a good eye primer is one of my many makeup obsessions. So I have a nice little collection of different eye primers, or things that I have used as eye primers that I have tried and either loved or hated. So in these Primer Police posts (say that 3 times fast) I will give my opinions on a primer of my choice.
The first primer I have chosen to review is bareMinerals' Prime Time eyelid primer. This was one of the first primers that I purchased when the primer bug first bit me. Like most primers, bareMinerals advises that you user theirs with their eye shadows. But what fun is having make up if you don't mix it together to create your own look? I'm not very fond of this product because I have very oily eyelids and it is an oil based primer, which makes sense because bM are loose powders and what better for them to stick to than oil (or bees wax which is what is in the product). I usually use some sort of color crayon as a base for my shadows to stick to, so the bM primer combined with the color crayons were defiantly too much oil for my eyelids and my shadows crease very quickly. But all is not lost, I have found a spot for bM Prime Time! I use it on my bottom lash line when I want to add color and have it stick. So unfortunately the search continues for the perfect primer....
(I just realized how annoying the word primer is. Ughh.)

Thoughts and things of that nature.......
Since Dorothy is making such a speedy recovery I'm starting to think more about upcoming posts. I've got a few ideas which I will share now.
The infamous MAC. This post will be mostly about MAC heads and my opinion on them. And I feel like I'm giving up too much about it already.
Reviews. And let me go ahead and get this out of the way. I'm not one of those people that reviews everything my readers ask me to. It's not like I have a lot of readers YET, but doing a lot of reviews is just not practical for me yet.
Professional train case. Which is something I'm currently working on. So I would certainly love for you all to go on this journey with me.
Back to the intended purpose of this blog SKIN CARE!
I have something newish that I'm doing to my eyebrows. Guess I'll share that too. Because I am obsessed with eyebrows.
If you have any suggestions for things you would like me to blog about shoot me an email at sheblushlust@gmail.com or just leave a comment below. :)
