Youtube strikes again

I've seen these things all over youtube so I just had to get on on my latest trip to the drugstore. Wet n Wild Flora Collection. Good news is I only got one!

New addition....

To my make up kit! I picked up this Smashbox Click You're It Holiday Eye Palette for more than half off the original price at my local PX! I don't think a lot of people pay attention to Smashbox but they really do have some amazing products and it's always great to catch it on sale!

It comes with 15 eyeshadows, 5 eyeliners and their photo finish primer (which I already have a review on).

Recent Purchase

I fell victim to the Youtube bug and purchased some $1.49 lashes from ebay... Ehh I'll let you know how this goes.

Silky Smooth for Spring

I've found the perfect mixture that has my skin feeling amazing!

Bodycology apricot mango exfoliating body scrub and Olay body wash plus body butter ribbons. It's kinda self explanatory... my skin feels amazing.

Love VoxBox

It's finally here my Love VoxBox review, I've had it for one full month which has given me plenty of time to use EVERYTHING!

I hate to be the type of blogger that gets products to review and says they absolutely love everything. But I really do love each and every one of these products!

Gillette Venus & Olay Razor: $8.99-10.99
This is by far my favorite product. I hate shaving with a serious passion, cream is so messy and waxing is painful. This 5 blade razor with moisture bars not only get every hair but leaves my skin feeling great. The Olay moisture bars are a wonderful addition considering that I already use Olay body wash.

Kiss Nail Dress: $6.99
I had already tried a similar product from another brand but the Kiss brand has a much better price point and quality. At first is was a little hesitant about putting them on my acrylic nails but they worked the same as they would on my natural nails maybe even a little better and now that the weather is warming up I can't wait to get some for my toes.

Stash Tea Herbal Tea Sampler: $3.50
YES caffeine free tea! I have a serious problem with caffeine that I would rather not get into, but I was so happy to have some tea I can drink with no worries. There were 9 different flavors in this box and having tried all of them I will say that acai berry is my fave and I will be a stash tea only girl from now on!

Ghiradelli Gourmet Milk Creamy Devotion Bar: $2.99
There really is not much to say, who doesn't like chocolate? Ghirardelli has been my favorite for a long time. (And I'll share a little secret: I may or may not have taken more than one complementary chocolate when the sign said "please take one.")

Truvia Natural Sweetener: $3.99
This went perfect with my tea an all natural sweetener that I didn't have to worry about using too much of perfect.

Lip Love

I have an even coming up soon and the theme is 50's glam so of course I've been searching for the perfect red lip and I think I've found it. I used NYX's chaos a color I didn't really pay any attention to when I first purchased it, so it sat around unopened for the longest until today!

For the "perfect red lip" I used
EOS chapstick
NYX lip liner in Hot Red
NYX lipstick in Chaos
I also went around my lips with MUFE's foundation  in 175 then used my Sephora powder on a blending blush wet it with MAC's fix plus to blend

Lately I have been obsessed with lip products and purple lips especially my new fave purple lip is MAC's flaunting it.

Influenster...

If you haven't heard of Influenster by now it's quite possible you live under a rock! Influenster is a site where members can find review of new products and also be eligible to receive what is called a VoxBox filled with items that you can try and review as well. I love heading over there right before I make my shopping list I'm sure to add a few things! I've bee a member since December and will be getting my first VoxBox soon and you know all of you will be the first to know. And the winner is...

Ashlee Simpson for best makeup at the SAG awards. This sort of look was pretty much the standard at the award show but Ashlee just jumped out at me. Maybe a different color on the lips but I still love it.

What's on trend

Vampy. With America's recent obsession with all things vampire and werewolf Bella #TeamEdward or #TeamJacob we've seen some new fashions come out and that includes makeup. Vampy is the look for the winter season dark eyes and/or deep berry lips. I've always been a fan of a good smokey eye and the darker lips are growing on me. It's a look that can be done by everyone from the cat walk to the sidewalk.

Im Drawing the Line

I picked up up this set of eye liners by Sephora during the Christmas holidays. It was in the gift section and was only $11. I was interested in Sephora liners so this was a great way for me to try them out and have a great variety of colors. It gets my stamp of approval!

Fragrance Lust

Paris Amour from Bath and Body Works is my favorite fragrance right now. If you don't have it, you are depriving yourself. (Note I may or may not have threatened a B&BW employee over this fragrance. lol)

Kit progression

I finally ordered some of the essential for my professional kit, one more step in the freelancing direction. I originally said I would order from camerareadycosmetics.com but ended up ordering from makeupmania.com instead. (I will do a post on the reason and my experience later on) I picked up a couple of unimportant utensils mascara wands, spatula, mixing palette etc. Lets get to the makeup!

I decided to go with Graftobian HD  color palette for my foundation because I saw a lot of great reviews for the product and loved the coverage it gave in the videos I saw. I got the warm palette to start off with because I felt it provided the colors I would use most, but I do plan to purchase the cool and neutral palettes as well.

I purchased La Femme blushes because of the great reviews I had seen on them as well. Also La Femme is a company that makes products for higher end brands as well. So why not get the high end product for a fraction of the price. The Z-palette was purchased to provide a safe home for those La Femme blushes. This palette is so sturdy a much better version of the original that was released a few years ago, it will become my go to for all pan products.

Products I loved during 2011.

Lancome Bienfait Multi-Vital spf 30 sunscreen. It's a great moisturizer and spf 30 what more can you ask for?

It's not quite lipstick and it's not quite gloss.... It's perfection.

Im kind of upset that I only started using these at the end of the year.

Black Radiance is one of those brands you don't really think about much but since buying these blushes I'll be keeping them in mind more often. (warm berry on the left toasted almond on the right)

Sephora's Mattifying foundation on the left does just that love it and MAC's mineralize skinfinish natural in dark deep is a great finishing powder it has a wonderful glow.

For as long as I can remember Wet n' Wild was a brand I looked over as but they have certainly improved and these palettes are definitely proof of that. the colors are so rich and are so easy to work with you could easily mistake them for a higher end product.

My favorite lashes only $2 I went a little over board but they are so good I couldn't help myself.

Lies
These products were not so hot in my book. When I don't like a product I usually throw it away so I don't have many pictures.

This eye liner had a tendency to look "wrinkled" once it dried.

MAC's mineralize spf 15 foundation. Where to start nw50 in not my color (and I was matched by an artist) and this formula is certainly not my favorite.

Revlon's Not Just Nudes cream shaddows. I really had a hard time getting them not to crease.

I looooooooooooove NYX megashine lipglosses. Plush Red is just not my color... and that made me mad.
